Attendance taking normally takes five minutes before the start of a period in the classroom. Building community with attendance question is very important thing in enhancing teaching. Attendance questions promote community that is important in school because it can satisfy the students with psychological needs for safety that is basic. When this is fulfilled students can be engaged and can become committed to the school. Moreover, they can behave according to the expressed values and goals. This is what is called school bonding

The attendance questions in a classroom can be of the following reasons:
Stretching the mind of the students-The questions like ‘What are you afraid of? ’Through this question, the students can be asked to go to the front of the classroom to answer it.The students may be nervous at first but with time they can cope up. This question can make them the students to think metabolically before the start of the lesson. Most of the questions have no answer that is right. Being right is the critical for the success of the students.
The attendance questions create a sense of’ we’. A question like’ what is your earliest memories of the house which you lived?’ This is a question that can invite the students for a reflection and a self-disclosure that is possible in a school. It is safe and easy to answer but at the end of the semester it leaves the students talking over it
Some of the attendances questions can recognize what matters. A question likes ‘are you here’? is recognizable to the students. When the teacher forgets to ask it, the students can remind him.
